Making this into a full game

I originally made this game for minijam: 80 which had the theme of cats and it has evolved into a bit of a larger project. The game contained 9 levels and less than a handful of mechanics which are soon to be expanded on and added to.

Currently the game has 23 levels and a good amount of mechanics such as moving platforms and walls that disappear when a key is collected. I realize that these mechanics are fairly basic and unoriginal however I feel that the unique movement system of the game will be able to mix and match with these mechanics in interesting ways. As of now the game isn't extremely polished and lacks a lot of standard features (level select, settings, music) which I do intent to add.

For the games release I'm aiming to have around 50 challenging levels ranging from being obvious as to what you need to do with linear paths to being open ended and having multiple solutions for the player to find out how they need to complete the level. I don't have many extra mechanics planned at the moment, of course there are plenty of ideas but none of it is set in stone. I'm also hoping to get some better playtesting as it has been limited to a few friends so it would be nice to get more people to try out the game to better balance the game and teach the player what to do. My goal is to have the game shipped by the GMTK game jam on the 11th of June, that date isn't solid at the moment and could possibly take longer however that would be the ideal place to have the game finished by for me. The price of the game will roughly be £0.69 ($0.98) as it is a fairly small and simple game and there will also likely be a 10-20% discount on launch. I also have no plans to release the game on other stores like steam or game-jolt however its certainly something to consider. The current game that is on the itch.io page is the version from the game jam which will stay after the games release for free however there will be no in browser version for any of the games versions.

Thank you for taking the time to read this.
